The prices that you can expect to pay for wooden blinds is going to be substantially higher than that of their plastic and vinyl counterparts, but for the price increase that you do end up paying, you get a lot of value.  The value comes from the fact that you could easily move through a few houses or apartments without ever needing to buy another set of wooden blinds, whereas if you were using vinyl or plastic model blinds, you will be replacing them each time you move, or even just leaving them in the house or apartment because of the difficulty in not destroying them while taking them down and putting them back up.
